분자량이 약 20 kDa 이하인 단백질과 폴리펩타이드의 전기영동은 일반적인 SDS-PAGE(Laemmli method)에서는 분리가 어렵기 때문에 Tris-Tricine buffer (AE-1415 EzRunT)로 전기영동을 수행합니다.

p-PAGEL 및 EzRunT는 저분자 단백질 분리에만 사용됩니다. 전기영동의 최소 시간은 약 65분이며 일반적인 SDS-PAGE보다 더 빨리 완료됩니다.

Protocols 1, 16–22 (2006); published online 12 May; corrected online 10 August 2006.) 일반적인 SDS-PAGE(Laemmli method)에서는 분리가 되지 않았지만, Tricine-SDS-PAGE는 저분자량 단백질들의 분리가 잘 이루어집니다.
